- For your own safety, use only the
accessories and spare parts from Moulinex
which are suitable for your appliance.
- All appliances undergo strict quality controls.
Practical use tests are conducted with
appliances selected at random, which
explains any signs of use.
- The iron is fitted with a thermal safety device
which cuts off the power if anything goes
wrong.
- Never leave the iron unsupervised when it
is plugged in.
- Unplug the iron :
. before filling the tank
. when you have finished ironing and for any
maintenance.
- Do not unplug the appliance by pulling on
the power cord.
- Allow the iron to cool down before putting it
away.
Using your appliance for
the first time
1. Filling the tank (iron unplugged)
- Make sure the control button (C) is in the
" " position.

- Pull up button (B) to open the fill opening
(A).
- Fill the tank (F) (iron flat), without exceeding

the maximum level.
- Press button (B) to re-close the fill

opening (A).
2. Getting started
The control button (C) must be in the " "
position.
- Plug in the iron.

- Adjust the temperature using the thermos-
tat button (D).
The temperature control indicator light (E) will
go out once the selected temperature is
reached.
Note:
On first use, there may be a small amount of
smoke given off; this is temporary and does
not mean there is anything wrong with the iron.
3. Steam ironing
Depending on model :
. Fixed flow of steam: turn the control button

(C) to the position " ".
. Variable flow of steam: turn the control

button (C) to the desired steam zone.
Notes :
- Steam ironing is only possible in the steam
zone indicated on the thermostat control
button (D).
- Before starting to iron, wait for the
temperature control indicator light (E) to go
out.
4. Dry ironing
- Turn the control button (C) to the position
" ".

5. Spray
- Press the spray button (B) in pulses.
6. Pressing (depending on model)

- To obtain an extra jet of steam, press the
control button (C) for a maximum of 5 se-
conds.
Note :
- Always use this function in the steam zone
indicated on the thermostat control button
(D).
7. Anticalc System (Anti-scale system)
(depending on model)
This fixed system, which is located inside the
tank, reduces the problems connected with
limescale build-up.
Maintenance
. Auto-cleaning (about once every 3
months)
In order to reduce scaling, Moulinex has built
an auto-cleaning system into the iron.
- The iron must be cold and unplugged.
- Set the control button (C) to the " " posi-
tion.
- Fill the tank (F) up to maximum level and set
the thermostat control button (D) to MAX.
- Plug in the iron.
As soon as the temperature control indicator
light (E) goes out, unplug the iron and hold it
over the sink.

- Turn the control button (C) to position «A»
(auto-cleaning).
- Hold the iron over the sink for 15 seconds.
The mixture of water/steam will take with it
any residues of scale contained in the
soleplate.
- Re-set the control button (C) to the " " po-
sition.
- Using slow, deliberate movements, tilt the
iron from left to right in order to rinse the
soleplate thoroughly and to get rid of the
remaining water.
