Safety notes

Protection against scalding
It is recommended that near points of discharge with
particular sensitivity to the outlet temperature
(hospitals, schools, nursing and retirement homes)
thermostatic devices should be installed which can
limit the water temperature to 43 °C. It is generally
recommended that the temperature of shower-
systems should not exceed 38 °C in nurseries and
specific areas of care centres.
Applicable standards (e. g. EN 806-2) and technical
regulations for drinking water must be observed.
Prevent danger resulting from damaged voltage
supply cables.
If damaged, the voltage supply cable must be
replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service
department or an equally qualified person.
• Installation is only possible in frost-free rooms.
• The switched-mode power supply is only suitable for
indoor use.
• The plug-in connectors must not be directly or indirectly
sprayed with water when cleaning.
• The voltage supply must be separately switchable.
• Use only genuine replacement parts and accessories.
The use of other parts will result in voiding of the warranty
and the CE identification, and could lead to injuries.

Technical data

• Voltage supply:
• Power consumption:
• Type of protection:
Thermal disinfection possible.
All thermostats are adjusted in the plant at a flow pressure on
both sides of 0,3 MPa.
If temperature deviations should occur on account of special
installation conditions, the thermostat must be adapted to local
conditions (see Adjustment).
Electrical test data
• Software class
• Contamination class
• Rated surge voltage
• Temperature of ball impact test
The test for electromagnetic compatibility (interference
emission test) was performed at the rated voltage and rated
current.
Special accessories - The factory settings can be changed
and special functions can be activated, deactivated and set
using the infrared remote control (Prod. no. 36 407). The
current Technical Product Information for the remote control
can be downloaded from
www.grohe.com/tpi/remote-control.
100-240 V AC 50-60 Hz/6.75 V DC
Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly before and after
installation (observe EN 806)!
Check connections for leaks and check function of
fitting.
Prevention of frost damage
When the domestic water system is drained, thermostats must be
drained separately, since non-return valves are installed in the hot
and cold water connections.
The complete thermostat assemblies and non-return valves must
be unscrewed and removed.
Adjustment
Before and after any maintenance operation on the
thermostatic compact cartridge the thermostat must be
adjusted.
Setting the temperature, see fold-out page 4.
Operation,
Start water flow
Touch sensor system.
Stop water flow
• Touch sensor system
• Water flow stops after expiry of the set running time
Activating cleaning mode,

Activating thermal disinfection,
see fold-out page 63.
National standards must be observed.
1. Switch off fitting with remote control (Submenu Service), see
Fig. [1].
2. Unlock thermostat function, see Fig. [2].
3. Start thermal disinfection with remote control (Submenu
Configuration), see Fig. [3].
4. Leave shower area.

Caution, risk of scalding.
During the thermal disinfection do not go
2500 V
in the shower area.
100 °C
The fitting starts the thermal disinfection.
If an object is in the detection zone, then the thermal
disinfection will be interrupted and the fitting is locked. The
thermal disinfection must be started again.
After the thermal disinfection the fitting is locked.
5. Restore thermostat function, see Fig. [5].
Caution, risk of scalding.
Necessarily restore thermostat function
to obtain pre-set temperature.
6. After 15 minutes the fitting can be unlocked, see Fig. [5].
