1- INTRODUCTION
You have just acquired Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) and we thank you for your confidence. Please
follow the instructions given here BEFORE EVERY
USE OF THE EQUIPMENT, in order to gain maximum
benefit. Failure to follow the instructions given in this
manual may have grave consequences.
We recommend that you re-read these instructions
from time to time. In addition, the manufacturer or its
representative declines all responsibility in case of any
use, storage method or maintenance carried out in any
other manner than that described in this manual.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS
MAY LEAD TO MALFUNCTIONING OF THE
PRODUCT AND BE DETRIMENTAL TO THE
ARREST OF A FALL, THUS RESULTING IN SERIOUS
INJURIES OR DEATH FOR THE USER
IF THE BUYER IS NOT THE END USER, IT IS
IMPORTANT THAT THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE
GIVEN TO THE END USER
In the interests of the user's safety, if the product is
resold outside of the original destination country, the
seller must provide the following information in the
language habitually used in the country of use:

maintenance instructions

instructions for periodical examination;

instructions concerning repairs;

additional information required that is specific
to the equipment.

1-3 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION (cf. II p.6)
This product is a harness (i) with an integrated
positioning belt (ii) as described below:
i) COMPLIES WITH STANDARD EN 361:2002
Full body harness (made of straps, synthetic fibres,
information about material available on equipment
marking) with or without connectors (Compliant with
EN 362). Personal protective equipment against falls
from height Connectors).
ii) COMPLIANT WITH STANDARD EN358:1999
A positioning belt intended for work at height on
poles or structures. Used with a positioning lanyard,
it enables the positioning and support of users, while
leaving the hands free to perform the intended task.
The positioning lanyard (compliant with EN 358:1999)
must be used with a belt harness or a positioning belt.
The lateral work positioning buckles must not be used
for fall arrest purposes. The positioning systems must
be complemented and remain with the collective or
individual protection devices against falls from height
(compliant with EN363 Personal protection equipment
against falls from height, FALL arrest systems).
1-4 COMPATIBILITIES
A fall arrest harness is designed to be used together
with other components forming part of personal fall
arrest systems (compliant with EN 363).
It is necessary to be completely sure before use that
the recommendations specific to each element
associated with this product are respected, as defined
in their corresponding instructions, that they comply
with the applicable European standards or otherwise
any other appropriate standard and that their safety
functions do not interfere with one another.
Check that the product you have just acquired is
compatible with the recommendations of the other
system components.
1-5 HAZARDS
A fall arrest harness complies with standard EN361 if it
is connected to a fall arrest system and is designed to be
part of the protection provided by the aforementioned
system against falls from height that may cause serious
injury.
