4. Description and equipment versions
Speaker protection
In general, all mid-high speakers are equipped with integrated
crossovers with self-resetting protective circuits for the high
frequency range.
Housing versions:
• Multiplex birch plywood with hard-wearing textured paint,
available in black (RAL 9005), white (RAL 9010) or any special RAL
colour,
• MDF versions with black matt finish
• M6/M8 threaded inserts for attaching mounting accessories
• Highly permeable, robust steel grille with front acoustic foam
lining.
Optional equipment versions:
• Optional 100V version with toroidal core transformer
• Outdoor mobile
• Special RAL colours
5. Important information regarding the
"Outdoor" option
WARNING
Speakers with the "Outdoor" option are adapted for outdoor use,
i.e. they are capable of withstanding fluctuations in temperature in
modest climatic zones and are resistant to condensation formation.
In order to guarantee the durability and safety of the speaker,
speakers with the "Outdoor" option must still be protected from
direct atmospheric exposure.
They should be installed, for example, under a roof so that they also
have protection from driving rain from the side or direct sunlight.
5.1 Equipment features of the "Outdoor" option
Version for outdoor applications under a roof covering.
Equipment same as standard version except for:
- multilayer, temperature and UV-resistant high-tech marine primer,
- final coating with highly resistant textured paint in RAL colours,
- waterproof diaphragms and electronic components protected
against corrosion with protective paint.
6. Instructions for versions with "100V"
option
Fohhn speakers are fitted with high-quality toroidal transformers
to minimise losses in sound quality. 100 V Fohhn speakers produce
high-quality sound results.
6.1 Reasons for choosing speakers with 100 V
technology
•
Reduction in conduction loss.
•
Speakers are galvanically isolated.
•
Speakers can be integrated into existing 100 V systems.
•
Speaker networks are easy to set up due to parallel wiring.
IMPORTANT
The total output power of the individual speakers (stated
as VA=W) must not exceed the output power of the 100 V
amplifier.
6.2 Connection configuration of 100V technology
1. Speakon connector with 100 volts pickups
1- = In- LowZ (Common 100 volts)
1+ = In+ LowZ or. 25% (100 volts)
2- = Input 50% (100 volts)
2+ = Input 100% (100 Volt)
