The battery packs must be charged before using them for the first time.
Charging procedure
1. Plug the charger into a socket. The charge indicator (Fig. 2.2) will light up green.
2. Remove the contact protector (Fig. 1.4) and connect both battery packs with the charging plugs of
the charger (Fig. 2.4). Please refer to the diagram of the charging plugs for correct orientation.
The battery packs can be charged in any operating mode.
3. The charge indicator (Fig. 2.2) will light up red during the charging process.
4. Once the battery packs are fully charged, the charging process automatically ends and the charge
indicator (Fig. 2.2) changes back to green.
5. After the end of the charging process, please disconnect both battery packs from the charging
plugs.
Important note:
 Charge the product after every use. This helps extend the life of the batteries and
ensures that the product is ready for use at any time.
 The battery consists of lithium ion cells and can be charged in any state. For this
reason, the battery does not need to be fully discharged before charging.
 The full charging capacity of the product can only be conserved if the product is
disconnected from the charging plugs after the end of the charging process.

 Short circuit protection: In the event of a short circuit at the contact or the heating element, the
product's integrated electronics system automatically turns off. After removing the short circuit,
please connect the batteries briefly with the charging plugs. Next, press the control button once and
the product is ready again.
 Protection against overcharging and exhaustive discharge: The product is protected
against overcharging and exhaustive discharge with the integrated electronics system.
