If you want to use speaker cables equipped with spade lug connectors, every connector screw must be
opened by turning counter clockwise. After that, the lug must be moved under the screw head. Then, turn
the screw clockwise to fasten the lug to the connector. To avoid damages to the amplifier, make sure the
connection is tight and no bare metal from the cable lug connector makes contact with the rear panel or
with another terminal.
If no connector is to be used, remove approximately 1 cm length of insulation from each end of the speaker wire.
Twist the braid in order to avoid short circuits. Turn the fastener on the loudspeaker terminal counter clockwise to
loosen it and introduce the bare wire end into the exposed connector hole. Then turn the fastener clockwise so that
the wire is firmly clamped. Make sure the connection is pretty tight.
One special feature of this amplifier is the option to connect two pairs of loudspeakers and to turn them
on or off individually by means of a switch on the front (4). This can be used to activate and deactivate
the music playback to both places where the pairs of loudspeakers are set up in any desired combinati-
on (only A, only B, A and B together or both switched off) without having to pull out the loudspeaker
cables.
If you intend to connect two pairs of speakers, all loudspeakers must have a nominal impedance
of at least 8Ω. If only one pair of speakers is used (A or B), all types of loudspeakers with a mini-
mal nominal impedance of 4Ω can be utilised.
Consider correct polarity, the positive contact is mostly marked red or with "+". The side of the
speaker cable that has to be connected with the positive socket has a marking.
CONNECTION OF THE POWER CABLE
Check that the electricity supply to your home is appropriate to the device. The required voltage and fre-
quency can be read on the back of the device beside the socket for the mains. If the electricity supply is
appropriate, push the inlet connector of the supplied mains cable firmly into socket for the mains on the
back of the device (15). Connect the other end of the mains cable to a mains socket.

OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

Operation
Button(s)
Description
The amplifier is switched on and off using this button at the front panel,
there is no standby option. When switched off the device is internally sepa-
rated from the AC power. When switched on, one of the LED's near the

input selector (1) is lit. As a precaution, before switching on, the volume set-
ting (3)(20) should be reduced. The switching operation is signalled via the
cables connected in the terminal "POWER CONTROL" (17).
On the front panel: if the "INPUT" dial is turned clockwise or in the opposi-
te direction, each of the input channels will be selected in turn and this swit-
ches the playback between the devices connected to the corresponding
INPUT (1)
input sockets (11). The relevant LED lit over the "INPUT" selection dial
shows which source is currently selected.

The illuminated LED near the input selector (1) indicates which audio source
is currently selected for playback. Before switching over the input channel,
the volume (3)(20) should be turned down as a precaution!
