3. Check the air cleaner.
Check the air cleaner elements to be sure it is clean and in good
condition.
Loosen the air cleaner cover screw, and remove the air cleaner cover.
Remove the main and outer elements from the air cleaner case, and
check the elements.
Clean or replace the elements if necessary (see page 42 ).
