3 Operation
The VarioGard system comprises the following components:
VarioGard central unit
For power supply and control
of the VarioGard system by
the connected system bus.
Two-line illuminated alphanu-
meric display of measured
values, status messages,
alarms, etc.
Three-colour status LED.
Acoustic alarm.
System operating keypad.
Remote acknowledgment terminal.
Five potential-free relay outputs that can be freely addressed.
To control connected components such as warning panels,
sirens, etc.
PC interface for start-up and maintenance.
VarioGard battery module
For emergency power supply
of the VarioGard system
during interruption of supply
voltage.
With 12V lead storage batter-
ies and electronic charger.

With four digital inputs for
connecting pushbuttons, switches, etc. to the VarioGard system.
For installation in control cabinets; with an installation kit for wall-
mounting.
Optional installation on the system bus.
