Drill a core hole. This must be smaller
in diameter than the required thread
(see table below).
Slightly widen the hole at the surface
using a countersink bit (max. 10 % of the
thread diameter at all sides). This will ease
the work of the tap 3 in turning the first
threads.
Mount the selected tap 3 in the tap
wrench 4 .
Place the mounted tap 3 on the core
hole. Ensure that the tap 3 is absolutely
perpendicular.
Turn the tap wrench 4 slowly clockwise
using even pressure.
If necessary turn it backwards slightly to
break up the accumulated metal shavings.

Cutting external threads
(Figure B)
Note: Use cutting oil to reduce the friction
between the workpiece and the die 1 .
Determine the required thread.
Select the thread to match the bolt
diameter. This should be slightly smaller
than the nominal diameter of the thread
(see table below).

Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable
materials, which you may dispose of at local
recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
product.
Slightly chamfer the leading edge of the
bolt. This will ease the work of cutting the
first threads.
Mount the selected die 1 in the die stock 2 .
Place the die 1 on the bolt to be cut.
Ensure that the arms of the die stock 1 are
at right angles to the bolt to be cut.
Turn the die stock 2 slowly clockwise
using even pressure.
If necessary turn it backwards slightly to
break up the accumulated metal shavings.
