Cleaning the Air Filter

Clean the air filter regularly. It is
recommended that the air filter be
cleaned approximately every 6 months.
If the dust cannot be removed from the air
filter even after cleaning, replace the air filter
with a new one.
For details on a new air filter, consult with
qualified Sony personnel.
Caution
If you continue to use the air filter, dust may
accumulate, clogging it. As a result, the
temperature may rise inside the unit,
leading to a possible malfunction or fire.

Turn off the projector, and disconnect
the AC power cord from the AC outlet.

Loosen the two screws on the air filter
unit.

Pull out the air filter unit from the
projector.

Clean the air filter with a vacuum
cleaner.
Clean the front and back of the filter.

Attach the air filter unit.
Note
Fully insert the air filter unit. If not fully
inserted, the air filter will not be attached to
the specified position, which may cause it
to fall out.

Tighten the two screws on the air filter
unit.
