Torque at 2 Millivolt/Volt: Key in the correct Torque @ 2mV/V for your transducer, and press
Transducer Units of Measure: Highlight and select the correct Transducer Units of your transducer.
Pulses per Revloution: For transducers with angle measurement, key in the correct Pulses Per Revloution, and press
Millivolts/Volts: Key in the correct Millivolts/Volt of your transducer, and press
Bridge Resistance: Key in the correct Bridge Resistance of your transducer, and press
Return to the Setup Tab: Press
Switch between Transducer Templates: Press
indicates the Transducer Template number (1-9).
Rundown Adapter (EXTT Only)
The EXTT has a built-in transducer and comes with a Rundown Adapter which can simulate a hard or soft fastening joint. The EXTT automati-
cally recognizes the built-in transducer so no Transducer Template is needed. The Rundown Adapters should always be used while operating
tools on the EXTT.
Attach the Rundown Adapter: Ensure rundown adapter kit is fully seated into Square Drive on the Transducer Module as shown in Figure
9 below.
Adjusting the Rundown Adapter: Varying the tools torque & the orientation of the belleville washers within the Rundown Adapters will
increase or decrease the joint angle. The following Rundown Adapter Stiffness Table gives typical values from results gathered on actual
rundown adapters. Using the bracket "(" to represent the Belleville washer inside the rundown adapter, several rules should be adhered to:
1. The rundown adapters must be greased.
2. All 8 washers must be used.
3. Do not use the combination (((((((( .
4. Do not use the combination ()()()() .
5. The only 2 permitted combinations of washers are: (((()))) hard joint and (())(()) soft joint.
6. These values are approximate to +/-15%.
Rundown Adapter
Lubricate the Rundown Adapter: IMPORTANT: Periodic lubrication of the belleville washers and the screw thread is needed to keep the
rundown adapters operating smoothly. For best results, use a lithium complex grease, such as Ingersoll Rand part # EE9-222-14 Oz.
Service the Rundown Adapter: If replacement screws, nuts or washers are needed, please order repair kit, ETT-RA-1-KIT (for EXTT-1),
ETT-RA-4-KIT (for EXTT-4), ETT-RA-12-KIT (for EXTT-12) or ETT-RA-30-KIT (for EXTT-30). Each kit contains a full set of 8 belleville washers, 5
screws & 5 nuts. After installing the new replacement parts, ensure set screw is securely tightened.
