Print/Autoprint "Quick Read" Readings
While in the Track Mode Quick Read screen, the user can print out a reading at any instant of time to either a serial printer or computer. Simi-
larly, while in the Peak, Pulse or Click Mode Quick Read screens, the user can have the Unit Autoprint every reading after each cycle to either a
serial printer or computer. Information printed will be based on the Autoprint selections made in the Misc. Settings section on page 10.
To do this, connect a suitable serial printer or Windows based computer to the Unit using a printer cable or PC cable. The cables attach to the 9
way D connector at the rear of the Unit (see diagram on page 5). Please ensure printer or computer is setup correctly according to the following
printer / data transfer settings before operation.
Printer / Data Transfer Settings: 9600 Baud, 8 Data Bits, 1 Stop Bit, No Parity, Hardware Handshaking.
Print a Track Mode Reading: From the Track mode Quick Read screen, press
Autoprint Readings: From the Peak, Pulse or Click mode Quick Read screens, Press
enable the Unit to automatically send every cycle's readout data to a printer or computer.
Auto calibrate Ingersoll Rand QE/QM Series Tools using "Quick Read"
Auto calibration allows you to calibrate the Transducer Range (TR) for Ingersoll Rand QE/QM Series tools using the EXTA or EXTT. This is done
by Autoprinting the Quick Read torque values from the EXTA/EXTT to the PC during a series of cycles. To set up Autocalibration, connect a PC
running ICS software to the Insight IC1D/M series controller through the Ethernet port, and connect the EXTA/EXTT to the PC via its serial port.
Deactivate all 6 Autoprint functions found in the Miscellaneous Settings screen, but activate the Autoprint function while taking readings in the
Peak mode Quick Read screen. Then run the Autocalibration routine found in the ICS software.

"Quick Store" Tab
Now that you have taken single readings from the Unit, you can start storing multiple readings for data analysis. From the Main Menu, highlight
& select the "Quick Store" tab to access the Peak, Pulse or Click measurement modes as shown in Figure 12.
Take "Quick Store" Readings
Select a "Quick Store" Mode: Highlight and select your desired measurement mode. This will bring you to a mode-specific Quick Store
screen similar to Figure 13, which shows a Peak mode Quick Store screen.
NOTE (For EXTA only): Before entering any mode-specific Quick Store screen, connect a suitable transducer to the EXTA, otherwise an error
message will be displayed. If using an Ingersoll Rand TRD or TSD transducer, or an UTA transducer, the user will automatically be brought
to the mode-specific Quick Store screen similar to Figure 13 and can start taking readings immediately. If using an I/S or H/O transducer, the
user will be first brought into a Quick Setup screen, which is described in the 'Changing the "Quick Store" Settings' section. After setting up
your I/S or H/O transducer, press
Take a "Quick Store" reading: With the transducer connected to the Unit, apply torque to the transducer using a suitable tool and observe
the reading on the screen. The information on the screen will vary according to the measurement mode selected and how the "Quick Store"
settings are configured.
Status of each "Quick Store" reading: The Status LED and Buzzer will indicate the result of each reading according to Table 7 given below.
