Outline & Mounting Dimensions
Figures 6 & 7 below show the Outline Dimensions for the EXTA & EXTT. The EXTA is designed to be portable and can be carried using the sup-
plied Neckstrap. The EXTT should always be securely fastened to a table or wall via the Mounting Brackets detailed in Figure 7 below using M6
mounting fasteners. Mounting fasteners are not supplied.

Batteries & Battery Charging
The battery in the Unit is a NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) battery and is shipped fully charged. In normal use with a transducer connected the
batteries have a charge of at least 4 hours. With the Unit switched off from a 10% charge state, the batteries will fully discharge in 25-50 days. To
prevent the loss of all setup data, the unit has additional battery backup for the internal memory.
From fully discharged, the Unit will require a 16 hour charge for normal use and has an automatic cut-off to prevent overcharging. The Units
should only be recharged with the supplied EXT-BC Battery Charger. The Charger can be used to directly power the Unit or to charge the
internal battery.
Battery Charging: Connect the Charger's small circular plug to the 15V socket at the back of the Unit, and plug the Charger into a suitable
AC supply using the supplied power cord most appropriate for your region. When the Charger is plugged into the socket, the Charging LED
will light red to indicate the EXTA/EXTT is charging correctly. A warning message will flash onto the screen if there is a low battery.
