FUNCTION MODE

ATTENTION: after you have set the dip-switches, you must memorise
the settings: with the display switched off press PROG once, the indi-
cation "-diP -" will appear on the display to confirm the memorisation
of the settings.
AUTOMATIC RECLOSING
This is selected on dip-switch DS1 as follows:
(DS1 -dip 1,2,4 "OFF".
Startingfromthecompletelyclosedposition,givinganopeningcommand
will start a complete cycle which ends with automatic closing.
Automatic reclosing starts (after a delay equal to the programmed pause
time) when the opening manoeuvre has terminated or in the instant that
the photocells are crossed for the last time during the pause time (when
the photocell cuts in the pause time is reset). Before the boom moves
the warning lights flash (if enabled). Pressing the blocking button during
the pause time will block automatic reclosing.
Note: the warning lights switch on after each movement command is
given.
RAPID RECLOSING 1
This is selected by setting dip-switch DS1 as follows:
(DS1 -dip 1 "ON" and dip 2,4 "OFF".
In this mode opening is obtained through TA1 and closing is determined
by the photocells FTCI being crossed, (or obviously when a TC1 com-
mand is given ); the programmed pause time will be ignored.
When the boom is completely open (opening travel limit "FCA" activated)
it will only reclose in one of the following two ways:
• A vehicle has passed through the inverting photocell infrared beam.
When the photocell is once again at rest the warning lights will flash
(if enabled) and the boom will start to close.
• The maximum waiting time of 2 minutes has elapsed (this time is
different from the pause time).
Notes:
1) If the photoelectric beam FTCI is crossed during opening the program-
mer memorises the reclosing command which is carried out when
the boom reaches the completely open position (without waiting for
FTCI to be crossed again). The memorised reclosing command can be
reset by pressing a TC1 command or a radio control button (inverting
or blocking the manoeuvre) during opening.
2) If the photoelectric beam FTCI is crossed during closing the boom
reopens completely, the warning lights flash and then the boom
recloses.
3) If the photoelectric beam FTCI is crossed while the warning light is
flashing before reclosing the flashing stops and starts again once the
photocell FTCI is at rest.
4) Pressing the opening button TA1 during pre-flashing will stop the
flashing and the system will wait for the photocells to be crossed
again.
5) Activating the blocking button blocks all automatic manoeuvring.
Closing can only be obtained giving a TA1 command.
6) The activation of the contact safety buffer during closing causes travel
inversion: to close the boom you will have to cross FTCI again activate
TC1.
RAPID RECLOSING 2
This is selected by setting dip-switch DS1 as follows:
(DS1 -dip 1,2 "ON", dip 4 "OFF".
• A vehicle has passed through the inverting photocell infrared beam
FTCI. The warning lights will flash and when the photocell is once
again at rest the boom will start to close.
• The maximum waiting time of 2 minutes has elapsed (this time is
different from the pause time)
Notes:
1) If the photoelectric beams FTCI are crossed during opening the pro-
grammer memorises the reclosing command which is carried out
when the boom reaches the completely open position (without waiting
for FTCI to be crossed again). The memorised reclosing command
can be reset by pressing a TC1 command or a radio control button
(inverting or blocking the manoeuvre) during opening.
2) Pressing TA1 during pre-flashing will stop the pre-flashing and the
system will wait for FTCI to be crossed again. If FTCI was already
activated when TA1 was pressed, pre-flashing will start straight away
once you release TA1 and when FTCI is once again at rest the boom
will start to close. If FTCI is at rest when the TA1 button is pressed
the system will wait for FTCI to be crossed again before starting pre-
flashing.
3) If the photoelectric beam FTCI is crossed during closing, all movement

4) Activating the blocking button blocks all automatic manoeuvring.
Closing can only be obtained giving a TC1 command.
5) The activation of the contact safety buffer during closing causes
travel inversion: to close the boom you will have to cross FTCI again
or activate TC1.
PRE-FLASHING
This is selected by setting dip-switch DS1
as follows: (DS1 -dip 3 "ON".
• Pre-flashing has a duration of 2 seconds and cannot be modified.
When it is enabled it is carried out both in the opening as well as the
closing manoeuvre.
ON
TRAFFIC LIGHT MANAGEMENT
1 2 3 4 5 6
This is selected by setting dip-switch DS1
as follows: (DS1 -dip 4 "ON".
• The traffic light function mode informs you that other vehicles
are using the road; for this reason the lighting sequence is only
caused by the detection of a metallic mass on sensitive loop
(this causes a TA1 -TA2 or TC1 -TC2 command to be acti-
vated: Photoelectric cells cannot be used to effect the lighting
sequence. The FTCI input is exclusively used as a safety device.
• The control of the lighting sequence "green/red " is managed by the
TA1, TA2 and TC1, TC2 commands; Crossing the photoelectric cell
FTCI has no effect on the closing of the boom even if dips "1" and "2"
are set to the ON" position. The boom can only be closed by a TC1 or
TC2 closing command depending on which traffic light management
program has been selected.
• Traffic light control is carried out by means of the AUX1 and AUX2
outputs (binding posts 9 to 12, fig, 18). The contacts are closed for
the green signal and open for the red signal.
• The "TA1-TA2-TC1-TC2 " function mode is established by the posi-
tion of dip 5.
TRAFFIC LIGHT PROGRAM SELECTION
This is selected by setting dip-switch DS1 as follows:
(DS1 -dip 4 "ON" - dip 5 "OFF" = program 1).
(DS1 -dip 4 "ON" - dip 5 "ON" = program 2).
Traffic light program 1 (see fig. 16)
The boom opens when the "TA1" command is given and only starts to
close after the loop "TC1" has been crossed. Crossing "TA2" will not
reopen the boom. Opening can however be achieved when "TA2" is
crossed as the programmer controls the traffic travel direction for the
boom.
Traffic light program 2 (see fig. 17)
This program can be used when the route has alternate one-way systems
ON
andaccesstotherouteiscontrolledbytwobooms,oneforeachentrance.
The boom opens when the "TA1" command is given and closes after

the loop "TC1" has been crossed. The programmer indicates presence
on the one-way system by means of the AUX2 contact (binding posts
11,12 fig. 18) until the "TC2" loop is activated.
Notes:
• During the closing manoeuvre, which has been activated by crossing
the loop "TC1", the arrival of another vehicle on "TC1" will cause the
barrier to block. The warning lights will remain active indicating that
closing will continue once the vehicle has backed off.
• If a vehicle crosses or arrives on the opening loop while the route
is still occupied by another vehicle, nothing will happen. The boom
can only open once the first vehicle has crossed the final loop at
the end of the route.
• During boom closing, activating the TC1 input or the pho-
