Symptom
Picture bounces or has wavy

Check these items
• Move away electric equipment and any sources generating a magnetic field —
such as fluorescent lighting, laser printer, and so on.
• If another monitor is placed near this monitor, increase the distance between the
two monitors to reduce the interference.
• Plug the monitor into a different AC outlet, preferably on a different circuit.
• Use the monitor with a different computer in a different room.
Do not use an extension cable and/or input signal selector for video signal
transmission. Excessive cable length and weak connections cause this symptom.
This wire stabilizes the vertically striped Aperture Grille. This Aperture Grille
allows more light to pass through to the screen giving the Trinitron CRT more
color and brightness.
Affected by the resolution and dot pitch of the monitor, and dot pitch of the
picture, there may be moire — especially in a gray picture. This can be eliminated
only by changing your desktop pattern.
