5 Starting-up

5.1 Instructions for unpack-
ing and preparation of
the washer
1. Unpack the washer and place it on all four wheels. Place the wash
tray and the wash basket and secure the adjusting handle to the
correct height.
2. Attach the spray handle with the hose by screwing the hose onto
the outlet at the top of the wa sher.
3. Open the detergent tank by unscrewing the cap. Fill the
tank with an adequate mixture of water and detergent un-
til the liquid is visible from above (max. capacity: 23 l).
Never use flammable liquids. Only use detergents recom-
mended by the producer.
4. Screw on the cap and tighten it by hand - do not use a tool or
overtighten.
5. Connect the plug to the socket.
6. Start the washer with the switch (12) that is lit green, and set the
temperature dial (11) to the required temperature.
The red indicator will light to indicate the heating coil is powered
and heating is underway. The max. temperature of 85°C will be
reached in approx. 40 min., depending on the actual temperature
of the detergent solution or the ambient temperature. When the
required temperature has been reached, the red indicator will go
out and the thermostat will ensure that the temperature is kept
constant. Disconnect the plug from the socket and wind the cable
round the transport handle.
7. The pressure in the tank is increased with ordinary compressed
air through the com pres sed-air valve at the top of the screw cap.
• Max. pressure of 6 bar must not be exceeded.
WARNING!
• Use only compressed air and no other pressure medium.
• Don't tamper with the safety valve or the compressed-air valve.
• Before pressurizing the tank always check that the safety valve
can move freely and that there is no external damage.
8. If the B23 is connected to the socket and frost protection is re-
quired, set the temperature dial to F.
