4.6 Trouble-shooting (faults, causes & remedies)
WARNING!
All maintenance operations must be performed by a qualified service mechanic.
PROBLEM
The air tank pressure drops when ma-
chine and tools are stopped
The compressor overheats.
The pressure rises to over 11,5 bar and
the safety valve releases air.
The pilot valve makes a crackling noise.
The compressor does not fill the tank up
and the tank pressure is low
The tools do not work perfectly (slow
down)
The tools do not work at all
Excessive condensation comes out of
the tools

CAUSE
Air leaks from the fittings
Insufficient ventilation because the up-
per cover grids are obstructed or the
head block fins are dirty.
The pilot valve is faulty or badly adjusted.
The pilot valve is faulty or badly adjusted.
• The belt slips
• Air leaks from the head block seals or
the valves are broken
The tools need to be lubricated
The air regulator needs adjustment
The air tanks are full of water
SOLUTION
Check all fittings by using soapy water. The
air leaks will be indicated by air bubbles
(chapter 5.2.6).
Check the grids or blow air between the
head fins.
Take the machine to an authorised service
point.
Take the machine to an authorised service
point.
• Reset the belt tension or replace the belt
(chapter 5.2.2).
• Take the machine immediately to an au-
thorised service point.
Check the oil and dosing levels of the air
lubricating unit (chapter 5.1.5)
Check the pressure and adjust it as de-
scribed in the tool instruction manuals
(chapter 4.4)
Drain the water from the tanks through the
cocks provided (chapter 5.1.2)
