Positioner TZID-C
Commissioning
1. Turn on the air supply to the positioner.
2. Apply the 4...20 mA analog input signal to the positioner
(terminals +11/-12).
3. Check for proper mounting:
- Press and hold
MODE
- Additionally briefly press
(manual adjustment within the sensor range)
is displayed.
- Release .

- Press or to move the actuator to its mechanical
limit stops in both directions, and note the values. The
angle of rotation is indicated in degrees.
Recommended positions of limit stops:
> -28° and < +28° for linear actuators
> -57° and < +57° for rotary actuators
Minimum angle: 25°
4. Switch to the configuration level:
- Press and hold and
- Additionally briefly press
- Wait until the countdown from 3 to 0 is completed.
- Release and .
The device will automatically go to parameter group P1._.
5. Select the actuator type (parameter P1.0); select ROTARY
or LINEAR using or

Autoadjust ment (step 6).
6. Start the Autoadjust function:
- Press and hold

- Additionally briefly press
- Release .

- Press and keep it pressed until the count-

down is finished.

Autoadjustment is started.
- If the message "COMPLETE" is displayed to indicate
successful Autoadjustment, briefly press
acknowledge.
It is also possible that Autoadjustment is automatically
cancelled due to troubles, and an error message is dis-
played.
7. Adjust the tolerance band (only necessary for critical actu-
ators, e.g. especially small ones). Usually, this step is not
required.
8. If required, test the settings.
9. Save the settings:
- Press and hold
MODE
- In addition, briefly press
- Release .
MODE
- Select NV_SAVE using
- Press and hold
ENTER
completed, then release
The settings are saved in the non-volatile memory, and the
positioner returns to the operating level. The last previous
operating mode is activated again.
