5. Malfunctions
While an electrical fault may be a
nuisance, it is not dangerous. The
motor is fitted with all necessary
safety provisions and has double
insulation.
5.1 Electrical malfunctions
Check that:
- the plug is in the socket;
- the current is switched on at the
mains.
5.2 Solving problems with the
infrared handset
Problem
The controls of the bed work poorly or
not at all.
Possible cause and solution
- The battery of the handset is empty.
Check this by pressing any key and
looking whether the LED indicator
lamp still burns (see below under
"Battery").
- Check that the receiver is not
covered or near a mains lead or an

- Check that the switches of the
handset and infrared receiver have

- The receiver does not pick up the
signals from the handset. Unscrew
the receiver from the control unit
and place it on the floor under the
boxspring.
- Check that the mains lead is
plugged in.
Problem
One of the bed sections does not
adjust properly.
Possible cause and solution
- One of the motors may be
defective. Contact your Auping
dealer.
- The plug of the motor in question has
a faulty contact. Check that the
connectors are live. If not, contact
your Auping dealer.
Battery
The infrared remote control uses a
single 9 Volt block battery. To replace
the battery, follow the steps below:
- remove the plastic packaging;
- remove the cover at the back of the
handset and place the battery in the
compartment.
