Every pacemaker circuit input is equipped with a 10k Ω resistor after +5V supply.
This is a protective measure if the feed-in circuits can adopt high-impedance states.
This would lead to uncertain levels on the input cables, which could result in the
succeeding components showing unwanted behavior.
