Mounting

Before beginning installation:
Check that the product purchased is of a suitable size for
the chosen installation area.
Remove the charcoal (*) filter/s if supplied (see also
relative paragraph). This/these is/are to be mounted only
if you want lo use the hood in the filtering version.
Check (for transport reasons) that there is no other
supplied material inside the hood (e.g. packets with
screws (*), guarantees (*), etc.), eventually removing
them and keeping them.
If possible, disconnect and move freestanding or slide-in
range from cabinet opening to provide easier access to
rear wall/ceiling. Otherwise put a thick, protective
covering over countertop, cooktop or range to protect
from damage and debris. Select a flat surface for
assembling the unit. Cover that surface with a protective
covering and place all canopy hood parts and hardware
in it.
In addition check whether near the installation area of the
hood (in the area accessible also with the hood mounted)
an electric socket is available and it is possible to
connect a fumes discharge device to the outside (only
suction version).
Carry out all the masonry work necessary (e.g.
installation of an electric socket and/or a hole for the
passage of the discharge tube).
Expansion wall plugs are provided to secure the hood to most
types of walls/ceilings. However, a qualified technician must
verify suitability of the materials in accordance with the type of
wall/ceiling. The wall/ceiling must be strong enough to take
the weight of the hood. Do not tile, grout or silicone this
appliance to the wall. Surface mounting only.
The numerical series of instructions given below refers to the
drawings you will find on the first pages of this manual,
containing the respective numbering.
1.
Mark a line on the wall up to the ceiling, corresponding to
the centre line.
2.
Place the drilling diagram on the wall, taking into account
the required minimum distances from the hob (fix it with
adhesive tape): the vertical centre line marked on the
drilling diagram must match the centre line drawn on the
wall, and the bottom edge of the diagram must coincide
with the bottom edge of the hood. Make 3 holes.
3.
Remove the drilling diagram and insert plugs and screws
as indicated.
4.
Partially tighten the screws.
5.
Place the flue support bracket on the wall and against the
ceiling. Drill and insert the wall plugs as indicated. Fix the
bracket.
6.
Extractor Version only - rear exhaust outlet: Make a
hole in the rear wall for the exhaust pipe, respecting the
distances indicated.
7.
Extractor Version only - ceiling exhaust outlet: Make a
hole in the ceiling for the exhaust pipe, respecting the
distances indicated.
8.
Prepare the connection to the household electrical
system.
9.
Filter Version only: Fix the deflector to the flue support

12. Hook the hood to the wall.
13. Adjust the hood horizontally, using a level.
14. Adjust the distance between the hood and wall.
15. Fix the hood to the wall with screws and washers as
indicated.
16. Tighten all screws.
17. Fix the collar to the exhaust outlet hole.
18. Secure the box with the screws already partially
tightened to the motor body.
19. Insert the electrical cable in the special seat. Carry out
the connection to the household electrical system.
20. Connect the fume exhaust pipe to the collar; the pipe
must be run towards the outside (extractor version) or
towards the deflector (filter version).
IMPORTANT: The exhaust pipe is not included in the
pack and must be purchased separately.
21. Insert the flues in the special seat over the hood,
completely covering the extraction unit.
