Important: When no fiber is plugged into the interface module the
receptacles must be protected by suitable covers to prevent dissipating
light from interfering the network.
9.5.2 LWLST (-LWLST or SH LWLST-PC104)
Jack type: 2 x ST/BFOC (bayonet) for transmission and reception
respectively. Connect TX to RX and vice versa.
9.5.3 LWLSMA (-LWLSM Aor SH LWLSMA-PC104)
Jack type: 2 x FSMA (threaded) for transmission and reception
respectively. Connect TX to RX and vice versa.
9.5.4 LWLTOS (-LWLTOS or SH LWLTOS-PC104)
Jack type: TOSHIBA specific socket TODX296 for RX and TX fiber,
usable plugs: TOCP200Q, TOCP200X, CF-2071.
9.6 Optic fiber interface modules for single-mode fibers
9.6.1 LWLSM (-LWLSM or SH LWLSM-PC104)
Jack type: 2 x ST/BFOC (bayonet) for transmission and reception
respectively. Connect TX to RX and vice versa.
10 Troubleshooting
• The card is accessible, but no interrupts are generated.
Possible cause: An insufficient number of interrupt lines are reserved for
PCI by the BIOS of the PC.
Solution: Configure more interrupts for PCI in the BIOS setup.
• The Receive LED indicates Reconfigurations.
Possible causes:
- Only one node is present in the network
- The network is not properly terminated
- At RS485 connections DATA-A and DATA-B are swapped
