The center core of a BNC socket is Phase A, its shield is Phase B.

9.5 Optic fiber interface modules for multi-mode fibers

9.5.1 Setting the transmission power

The optical output power of the transmitter can be adjusted in four steps.
Low power is recommended for short fiber lines with low loss in order to
avoid long recovery times of the receiver. When applied to long or lossy
fibers the medium or even high transmission power may be adequate.
