delivery and must be kept until the unit is
disposed of.

Hints on the manual
This handbook contains instructions for the installation and
operation of
• Door and side-mounted, bolt-on Cooling Units, Series DTS,
• Door and side-mounted, built-in Cooling Units, Series DTI.
Hint
The technical specifications for each machine along with additio-
nal information on assembly, connections and operation are
contained in the Techn. data sheet.
In this manual, safety recommendations and other information are
structured as follows:

observed there is danger to life and health.

Handling
2.1
Transport
•
Never expose cooling units to temperatures under -40°C and
exceeding +70 °C during transport.
•
Never expose cooling unit to a relevant humidity exceeding 90%
during transport.
•
Lift cooling unit only by the casing or with two jack rings (M8)
•
Transport the cooling unit only in condition of usage.
•
Prior to transport remove the cooling unit and pack it separately
if the complete switch cabinet is to be transported.
Failure to observe these instructions will render the warranty
provisions null and void.
2.2
Storage
•
Never expose cooling units to temperatures under -40°C and
exceeding +70 °C during storage.
•
Never expose cooling unit to a relevant humidity exceeding 90%
during storage.
•
Store cooling unit only in condition of usage.
•
The duration of storage amounts to 24 months. The maximum
duration of storage invalite not the respective valid warranty pro-
visions.
CAUTION:
After storage below the minimum operating ambient air
temperature it must be guaranteed before start-up, that the
cooling unit achieved permissible operating ambient air
temperature. (see Techn. data sheet)
Failure to observe these instructions will render the warranty
provisions null and void.
2.3
Unpacking
•
Prior to and during unpacking make a visual inspection of the
cooling unit to see whether any damage has occurred during
transport. Especially pay attention to loose parts, dents, scrat
ches, visible loss of oil etc.
Any damage must be reported immediately to the forwarding
agent (follow the instructions in "Rules for Damage Claims").
Moreover, the latest edition of the "General Conditions for Sup
plies and Services" issued by the ZVEI ( Central Association
for the German Electrotechnical Industry") shall apply.
