For angled cuts, set the cutting angle of the mitre fence by loosening the screw and re-tightening the mitre fence screw and then applying
your workpiece against the mitre fence. Use the mitre fence on the side where it will not interfere with the blade guard.
Bevel cuts are like cross cuts, but the blade is at a certain angle. Set the required bevel angle. Use the mitre fence in one of the grooves so
that it does not interfere with the blade guard.
A compound cut is the combination of a bevel cut and a mitre cut. The cut is made at an angle other than 90°, in relation to both the table
reference surface and the length of the workpiece.
Cutting several pieces to the same length without having to mark the length of each piece.
NEVER USE THE RIP FENCE AS A CROSS CUT GAUGE FOR CROSS CUTS.
This could lead to extremely hazardous kickback.
Never push the workpieces with the hand, use the push stick instead. Make sure that the workpiece does not jam the blade, as that could
lead to a hazardous backlash phenomenon.
Rip cuts involve cutting the wood along the grain.
The rip fence is used for all rip cutting operations. Never do any rip cutting without the rip fence fully locked in position on the table. The
rip fence extends from one edge of the saw table to the other.
All rip cutting, whether with a bevel or otherwise, is done with the help of the rip fence.
USING THE PUSH STICK
Set the fence parallel to the required cutting width and lock the locking handle. Before starting the rip cut, check that the fence is parallel
to the blade and that the riving knife is perfectly aligned with the blade.
While rip cutting large workpieces or boards, always use bench vices to support the workpiece. Apply slight pressure and always use the
push stick until the workpiece is fully clear of the saw.
A push stick must always be used if your hands come within 125 mm of the blade.
A push stick is a safety tool that will enable you to always keep your hands and fingers away from the blade. The push stick handle will allow
you to push the workpiece thanks to the notch that is in contact with the edge of the workpiece. A push stick can be made easily with a
piece of wood. The push stick must be narrower than the workpiece.
To rip cut thicknesses that are 150 mm wide or less, only use the rip fence to the right of the blade and use the push stick to push the work-
piece until it is cut through.
Connect your exhaust system to the rear socket of the machine.
The measured exhaust effectiveness is 45 % when tested in accordance with standard EN 61029-2-1; 2002.
We recommend the use of a vacuum with this machine (see above).
DANGER : The choice of blades to use will depend on the type and quality of wood and the type of cut - rip or cross. For example,
oak and beech are relatively hazardous for the health and a vacuum must be used. Rip cutting spruce leads to long spiralled chips.
