Submersible pump does not start or stops during the operation
• Check the mains supply or the circuit breaker and the ground fault circuit interrupter. If the ground fault circuit
interrupter has tripped, disconnect the submersible pump from the mains voltage and check for any damage (for
example, the power cord).
• The pump impeller inside the submersible pump is blocked by dirt. Disconnect the submersible pump from the
mains voltage, remove the hose and flush the inside of the submersible pump with water.
• The float switch is not positioned correctly.
• The overtemperature protection has tripped. Disconnect the submersible pump from the mains voltage and let the
submersible pump cool down (at least 30 minutes). Eliminate the cause of the trip (e.g. water temperature too high,
dry running too long etc.).
Flow rate is lower or too low
• Check the suction holes for dirt.
• The submersible pump sucks in air because the suction holes are no longer completely under water.
• Check the attachment of the hose to the submersible pump.
• Check the hose for leaks or kinks.
• More the flow rate decrease is, larger the delivery height is.
• The hose diameter is too small, the hose is clogged by dirt.
The float switch is not released or does not switch off
• The float switch is not positioned correctly.
• Attach the cable to the float switch on the side of the cable clamp so that the float switch will properly shut off, for
example, when a low water level is reached in a cistern.

12. Care and cleaning

• There are no serviceable parts in the submersible pump, so never open or disassemble it. Maintenance or repair
and the associated opening of the submersible pump may only be carried out by a specialist or a specialist repair
centre.
• Before cleaning, switch off the submersible pump and disconnect it from the mains voltage. Unplug the mains plug
from the mains socket.
• A clean, soft cloth is sufficient to clean the outside of the submersible pump. If necessary, rinse the outer surface
with clear water.
• Dirty suction holes can be cleaned with running water (e.g. with a garden hose). The inside of the submersible pump
can also be rinsed with running water by removing the hose and any fitting.
• Dry the submersible pump and power cord before storing.
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions for cleaning as these may
damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
