d) Operation

• Only clear, clean fresh water with a maximum temperature of +35 °C is allowed as the pumped liquid.
• The pumped liquid must be clean. Due to the design of the pump, only the impurities up to a particle
size of 1 mm are allowed.
• The product is not suitable for conveying drinking water or food.
• The product is not suitable for conveying corrosive/erosive, flammable or explosive liquids (such as
gasoline, heating oil, cellulose thinner), fats, oils, sewage water, salt water or waste water from toilet
facilities.
• The pumped liquid can be contaminated due to the leaks in the pump of lubricants.
• The mains socket, to which the submersible pump is connected, must be easily accessible. The mains
cable should face down from the power outlet to prevent water from returning to the mains socket.
• If the submersible pump is, for example, in a well shaft, a suitable attachment such as a rope is required.
For safety reasons, the rope must be able to hold at least 3 times the weight of the submersible pump.
Never attach the submersible pump to the power cord of the submersible pump, never use the power
cord to carry, hold or submerge the submersible pump!
• The product is not protected against dry run.
• The product must not be operated unattended.
• The product may not work in continuous operation.
• There must be no persons in the pumped medium during the operation.
• The product must not be used in or near explosive liquids or gases, there is a danger of explosion!
• Consequential damage that may occur due to a malfunction or fault in the deep well pump must be
prevented by suitable measures (for example, water level gauges, sensors, alarm devices, reserve
pump or similar).
• Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
• Do not shut off the outlet side of the pump when in operation.
Use, for example, a corresponding pressure switch, which shuts off the power supply of the submersible
pump in time.
The submersible pump may work for a maximum of 5 minutes against the closed pressure side to avoid
damage. The water in the submersible pump already heats up within 5 minutes. If the pressure side is
opened, then hot water is discharged, risk of scald burns/injury!
• Do not place the product with the suction holes directly in muddy, sandy or stony ground such as a
garden pond. For example, use a stone slab as a base. Otherwise, the suction holes could be blocked
completely or partially after a short time!
In addition, sand, pebbles or other hard objects in the pumped liquid lead to increased wear and a
reduction in the performance of the pump.
