• There is a cable clamp (6) on the side of the handle. This serves to fix the cable to the float switch.
The corresponding switch-on or switch-off water levels are revealed later depending on how the cable of the float
switch is fixed.
Fix the cable to the float switch very carefully and set the right cable length for your place of use.

9. Setup

Check the mains cable with the mains plug for damage before each use. The product must not be operated
if the mains cable and/or the mains plug are damaged. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!
• The submersible pump requires an area of at least 60 x 60 cm. Observe
this before lowering the submersible pump.
• After you lowered the submersible pump in the well using a rope and
attached the rope accordingly, plug the power plug into a properly
grounded mains socket. For outdoor operation, it must be an IP44 mains
socket.
The mains plug may be plugged into the mains socket only when
it is dry. Otherwise there is a risk of a fatal electrical shock!
The mains cable should face down from the power outlet to
prevent water from returning to the mains socket.
• When the float switch is properly positioned, the submersible pump will turn on and begin to draw in and deliver
the water through the outlet.
If no water is pumped, there is still air in the submersible pump and the hose. If necessary, you can speed up the
suction process by adding water to the hose or by moving the submersible pump slightly back and forth, or by
plugging/unplugging the power plug.
• The submersible pump turns off automatically when the float switch goes down.
The submersible pump can also be operated manually by attaching the cable of the float switch to the cable
clamp.
The submersible pump may not be operated unattended here, since the submersible pump does not switch
off in the absence of water, leading to its damage.
In any case, make sure that the pump does not run dry as it has no dry run protection.
