Overload
If the electronic overload protection is activated
(overload or overtemperature as a result of incorrect
installation or inadequate cooling), the set degree of
brightness of the lighting unit reduces. If overload /
vertemperature is applied for a longer time, Dimmer
6590U switches off.
The supply voltage must be disconnected prior to
remedying faults. Check the load on the dimmer
and reduce if necessary.
The dimmer is again ready for operation after
elimination ofthe overload and following an appropriate
cooling-down phase.
Short Circuits
In case of a brief short-circuit of the load, the dimmer
6593U/6594U disconnects the connected loads and re-
connects them afterwards. In case of a permanent
short-circuit, the dimmer switches off completely. The
supply voltage must be disconnected prior toremedying
faults. After the fault has been remedied,the dimmer is
again ready for operation.
