Universal Dimmer - Functional Description
Upon connection of the supply voltage, the
microprocessor integrated in the dimmer evaluates the
characteristics of the connected service load and
decides whether phaseangle or phase-section control is
to be employed.
During this calibration process, the lighting system is
switched on for up to two seconds and the unit is
blocked.
CAUTION
In order to ensure that the precise load is recognised by
the dimmer, this should neither be operated with short
circuit nor with secondary open-circuit conventional
transformers when the supply voltage is connected.
