28 Weather trend

A weather trend for the next 12-24 hours is calculated from the measured values and displayed graph-
ically as follows:
2
1
1 Sunny
3 Cloudy
5 Rain/storm
Note:
• The accuracy of a pressure-based weather forecast is about 70% to 75%.
• The weather forecast is intended for the next 12 hours and does not necessarily reflect the current
situation.
• The snow weather forecast is not based on air pressure, but on the outdoor temperature. When
the outdoor temperature is below -3°C (26°F), the snow symbol appears on the LCD display.

29 Barometric / Atmospheric Pressure

Atmospheric Pressure is the pressure at any location on earth, caused by the weight of the column of
air above it. One atmospheric pressure refers to the average pressure and gradually decreases as alti-
tude increases. Meteorologists use barometers to measure atmospheric pressure. Since variation in
atmospheric pressure is greatly affected by weather, it is possible to forecast the weather by measur-
ing the changes in pressure.
In normal display mode, press BARO button several times to show the desired measurement unit
(hPa, inHg or mmHg).
Set relative atmospheric pressure value
1. Get the atmospheric pressure data of your current location (or nearest to it) through the local
weather service, internet or other sources.
2. Press BARO button for approx. 3 seconds until ABS or REL is flashing.
3. Press UP or DOWN button until REL flashes.
4. Press UP or DOWN button to change the REL value (according to the researched value)
5. Finally press the BARO button to save the settings and exit the setting mode.
• NOTICE! NOTE:
• NOTICE! ABS: absolute atmospheric pressure of your location.
• NOTICE! REL: relative atmospheric pressure based on the sea level.
• NOTICE! The default relative atmospheric pressure value is 1013 mb/hPa (29.91 inHg), which
refers to the average atmospheric pressure.
