11. General Description

The product has the following basic operating modes:
„ONLINE/OFFLINE"
ONLINE means that the product has logged into the GSM network and can process
text messages. OFFLINE means that the GSM and GPS module are switched off to save
rechargeable battery energy (rechargeable battery runtime). OFFLINE can be considered
the „Standby" mode, with each activated sensor able to trigger an alarm permanently.
You can get to the ONLINE mode:
• automatically after a set time (basic setting: 1x per day for 15 minutes); command:
TIMEOUT
• briefly push the lateral button „S1"
• when an activated sensor triggers an alarm (to send the alarm text messages).
• by pushing the „RESET" button
The ONLINE mode can be recognised because the green GSM LED flashes.
The GPS receiver can only be activated in ONLINE mode.
„ENABLE/DISABLE ALARM"
As an autonomously working GSM alarm system, the GX111 can inform its owner by text
message when an alarm is triggered. However, this is connected to costs.
To give the customer complete cost control, the GX111 will only send text messages or
emails subject to charges independently with the alarm activated („ENABLE ALARM").
With the alarm deactivated („DISABLE ALARM"), the GX111 will only react to events
from the owner (text message with command).
