4.2 K�S �ruck licensing
1. Connect KTS Truck to a PC/Laptop via the USB
connecting cable.
2. Start ESI[tronic] 2.0 either by way of "Start
>> All Programs >> Bosch ESI[tronic] 2.0 >>
ESI[tronic] 2.0" or with a double click of the left
mouse key on the icon
 The following message appears after a brief delay:
3. Select <Licensing>.

Bluetooth setup

In the case of a PC/Laptop without internal Bluetooth
hardware, Bluetooth driver installation must be
performed for the Bluetooth USB adapter supplied
(refer to Section 4.3.1).
The Bluetooth USB adapter supplied is not required
for a PC/Laptop (e.g. DCU 130) with internal Bluetooth
hardware and the Bluetooth driver does not have to be
installed.
The KTS Truck MAC address must however be entered
in ESI[tronic] 2.0 in both cases (refer to Section 4.3.2).

For a PC/Laptop with Bluetooth Class 2 it is
advisable to make use of the Bluetooth USB adapter
supplied (Class 1) as this provides a better range
(refer to Section 7.3).

The procedure is described on the basis of the
"WIN 7" operating system. The procedure may differ
for other systems.

Bluetooth driver installation

It is not possible to operate any other item of
Bluetooth hardware fitted or plugged into the
PC/Laptop, as this would interfere with data
communication between KTS Truck and the
control unit.

Before starting up the Bluetooth USB adapter,
the Bluetooth hardware integrated into the PC/
Laptop (e.g. Widcomm Stack/Toshiba Stack) must
be deactivated (refer to the PC/Laptop operating
manual). In addition, the corresponding Bluetooth
driver must be de-installed (remove Bluetooth driver
under "Start >> Control panel >> Software").

If the Bluetooth USB adapter is to be used in
different PC/laptop USB ports with the WIN XP
operating system, the Bluetooth driver must be
installed for each USB port.

Do not plug the Bluetooth USB adapter into
the PC/Laptop until requested to do so during
Bluetooth driver installation (Message: Connect
Bluetooth device). Plugging in the Bluetooth
USB adapter beforehand will result in opening of
the Windows hardware assistant. The Windows
hardware assistant must then be shut down and the
Bluetooth USB adapter removed.
