Maintenance, cleaning and care

Maintenance by the user is limited to filter inspection and replace-
ment required at certain intervals.

Never operate the appliance without filters.

Operate the appliance with at least the recommended
filter class. Ensure that filters are fitted precisely so that
they can fulfil their function.
f Inspect the filters for the first time three months after com-
f
missioning the appliance.
The "filter" symbol appears after a time set by the qualified con-
tractor. The qualified contractor can lengthen or shorten the inter-
val for inspecting filters depending on the level of contamination.
If the "filter" symbol illuminates, check the filters.
Change the filters if the surface is covered completely in dirt or
the filter is discoloured throughout.
Change the filters at least every 12 months.

f Undo the wing screw on the filter cassette of the extract air

filter by turning the screw anti-clockwise.
f Remove the filter cassette from the appliance.

f If necessary, place a new filter in the filter cassette. To do
f
this, slide the grille – behind which the filter mat is located –
a little to one side and swing the grille forwards like a door.

Operate the appliance with at least the recommended
filter class. Ensure that filters are fitted precisely so that
they can fulfil their function.
f Ensure that the direction of air flow through the filter is cor-
f
rect. On M5 and F7 filters, the direction of flow is indicated
by an arrow on the side of the filter. In the case of G4 filter
mats, the blue side is the inflow side, i.e. the dirty side.
f After inserting the filter, flip the grille shut again.
f
f Push the filter cassette into the appliance. Ensure that the
f
filter cassette is installed in the intended position. The arrow
on the filter cassette and the arrow on the appliance must
point in the same direction.
f To secure the filter cassette, turn the wing screw clockwise.
f
f Undo the wing screw on the filter cassette of the outdoor air
f
filter by turning the screw anti-clockwise.
f Remove the filter cassette from the appliance.
f
f If necessary, place a new filter in the filter cassette.
f
f Push the filter cassette into the appliance. Ensure that the
f
filter cassette is installed in the intended position. The arrow
on the filter cassette and the arrow on the appliance must
point in the same direction.
f To secure the filter cassette, turn the wing screw clockwise.
f
f Make a note of the filter change date.
f

f Log the filter inspection in the appendix of this man-

ual.
f Switch on the power supply to the appliance.
f
f Order new filters in good time or purchase a filter
f
subscription.
Note
If other filters are installed in the system, e.g. filters in the
extract air vents or a filter box, also perform the inspec-
tion there and change the filter(s) if necessary.
