5. Care and maintenance

According to the DGUV regulation 54 of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association, hydraulic jacks must be
tested once a year by an expert. Each time before you
use the jack, check whether it is functional and whether
it has a valid inspection sticker. If this is not the case
or the device has obvious defects, such as deformation,
worn moving parts or oil leakage, it may only be used
after these defects have been fixed and a valid inspec-
tion sticker has been attached to the device.
The checks are to be documented in acc. with BGG 941.
JUNG would be happy to take care of these regular
inspections for you.

NOTE
According to DGUV regulation 54, you, as the owner of
these devices, are responsible for the annual mainte-
nance and inspection of your jack.
WARNING
If the hydraulic hose is crimped and/or damaged, the
hydraulic connection is defective and/or after 5 years
have gone by, replace the hose. Otherwise, serious
bodily injuries might occur. Always wear adequate
protective clothing.
