b) Cameras
The camera heads are pivoted and the camera angle can be adjusted with the hinge (19). This allows installation on
a wall as well as on a ceiling.
• Slightly loosen the locking nut (20) and unscrew the mounting plate (21) from the camera.
• Pull the connection cable out of the hole in the mounting plate (21).
• Select an installation site that is protected against attempts to tamper with the camera. The camera should be
mounted at a minimum height of 2.5 m for this reason.
• The connection cable can be either flush-mounted or surface-mounted. A groove for the cable is provided on the
mounting plate (21) for surface mounting.
When the device is used outdoors, we recommend that you choose a location that is protected from pre-
cipitation/splashing water (for example, under an eave), because dripping or splashing water on the cam-
era lens can lead to a distorted and unusable image.
The plug-in connectors for the connection cable of the camera are not waterproof. If the plug-in connectors
are to be used outdoors, they must be installed in a waterproof connection box.
• Secure the mounting plate (21) with suitable screws and wall plugs, if necessary, depending on the mounting loca-
tion. Be sure that you do not damage any cables on the mounting surface when drilling or tightening.
The mounting plate (21) can be used as a template to mark the required mounting holes.
• Retighten the connection cable through the hole in the mounting plate (21).
• Screw the camera into the mounting plate (21).
• Roughly align the camera lens in the direction of the desired monitored area. A precise adjustment can be made
later when the camera image is displayed on the monitor/DVR.
• Secure the camera with the locking nut (20).
• Connect the plug-in connectors on the end of the camera cable to the corresponding connectors of the each
connection cable. Place the cables in a suitable cable duct or something similar so that they are protected from
tampering.
• If the connection cables are to be guided through a wall, protect the connectors from dust and dirt with a small
plastic bag or something similar.
• Place the connection cables until the installation or mounting location of the monitor/DVR.
c) Monitor/DVR
• Insert the square nut on the supplied mounting foot into the slot on the back of the monitor/DVR and screw it tight.
• To fix the mounting foot, use the holes in the mounting foot or double-sided adhesive tape, if necessary.
• Depending on the mounting location, use appropriate screws and, if necessary, wall plugs. Ensure that no cables
or wires are damaged when drilling holes or tightening screws.
