Problem
The DVB-S signal
temporarily disappears

Another user performs a
setup procedure.
Atmospheric conditions affecting
Over long stretches, the voltage
drops via the cable, components
and sockets may be too high.
Individual LNB connections or trunk
lines may be mixed up or a central
wire is too short.
You must determine whether the
level disparity occurs before or
after the TechniRouter:
Before: Transponders of around
12.7 GHz are bad.
After: Channel frequencies of
around 2096 MHz are
bad.
Input level is either too high
or
too low.
Earthing of the individual
components carried out at varying
potentials (ripple pickup).
Select another free channel using
manual frequency input selection or via list
selection.

• How is the current load of the power
supply?

Plug the power supply unit into the
TechniRouter or the inter-mediate
amplifier 5Z/NT or 5Z2/NT.
• Check the allocation and plugs.
• Verify the signal directly with the LNB
feed cables (with the receiver in Quattro-
LNB mode).
• Check the signal directly at the LNB and
subsequently at the input of the
TechniRouter.
• Also check your satellite level
calculation.
• Check the socket or splitter cabling of the
output cable.
• Measure and check your terrestrial level
calculation, and adjust the level (see
Point 5.2). Remove the intermediate
amplifier 5Z/NT or 5Z2/NT from the
terrestrial section on a temporary basis.
• Use a terrestrial preamplifier.
• Remove individual earthings (initially on a
trial basis), not including those on the
initial device.
• This effect can also be caused by
additional devices connected to the
receiver with a protective ground or other
(earthed) receiving antennas may cause
this effect (rarely).
