forK controLS
LoW-SpEEd comprESSIon
Used to control the rate at which the
fork compresses.
Found on all 32MM RLC FOX forks on
top of the right fork leg.
There are 8 clicks of adjustment.
Turn clockwise* (CW) for FIRMER
low-speed compression; turn
counterclockwise* (CCW) for SOFTER
low-speed compression.
taLaS II traVEL adJuSt
Used to adjust the amount of
travel on your fork.
Found on all 32MM TALAS &
36 TALAS FOX forks on top
of the left fork leg.
32MM TALAS forks can be
adjusted to 140, 120 or 100
mm. The 36 TALAS can
be adjusted to 160, 130 or
100 mm.
To adjust travel, turn the lever
to one of the three travel
positions, then compress the
fork a few times.
The air spring on TALAS
forks is adjusted by removing
the center air cap.
*
Use this diagram to orient the controls shown in the fork drawings above. Knob control directions are relative
to looking at the knob straight on. For controls on the bottom of the fork, this means that you would be on the
ground and looking up at the fork controls.
LocKout LEVEr
Used to lockout the fork.
Found on all 32MM RLC & RL FOX
forks on top of the right fork leg.
Turn full clockwise* (CW) to lockout;
turn full counterclockwise* (CCW)
to unlock.
It is normal for the fork to compress
slightly even when locked out.
You can lockout your fork on-the-fly, if
you wish, but do so safely.
prELoad/aIr cap
Used to adjust the spring
or air preload (sag) on
your fork.
32MM F-SERIES & FLOAT
have air springs. Sag is
adjusted by removing the
air cap and using the FOX
HP Pump. Consult the
owner's manual for more
information.
32MM VANILLA, 36 & 40
forks have coil springs.
Sag is adjusted by
turning the preload cap
clockwise* for LESS sag,
counterclockwise* for
MORE sag.
rEBound
Used to control the speed at which
the fork extends after compression.
Located on the top of the right fork
leg.
There are 12 clicks of adjustment on
32MM models, 15 clicks on 36 & 40
models.
Turn clockwise* (CW) for SLOWER
rebound; turn counterclockwise*
(CCW) for FASTER rebound.

High-speed Compression Knob
Used to adjust high- (big blue knob) and low-speed
(smaller blue knob) compression damping.
High-speed damping controls the force it takes to
move the fork through its travel and how the wheel
reacts to a bump. Low-speed damping controls the
influence of the rider's weight shifts and bike attitude
under braking.
Found on all 36 & 40 RC2 FOX forks on the bottom of
the right fork leg, under the black protective cap.
To adjust compression damping, remove the black
protective cap. Turn the high and/or low speed
compression knob clockwise* (CW) for FIRMER com-
pression; turn counterclockwise* (CCW) for SOFTER
compression. Do not forget to put the black protective
cap back on before riding.
