To set the transmission destination of the
streaming

Select "Preset1" (or "Preset2,"
"Preset3") in "Streaming" of the
System menu to open the setting screen
for the transmission destination of the
streaming.

Set item corresponding to "Size," "Bit
Rate," and "Type" in that screen.

Select "Preset1" (or "Preset2,"
"Preset3") set in steps 1 and 2 for
"Preset Select" in "Streaming" of the
System menu.
Starting streaming

Set "Setting" to "On" in "Streaming" of
the System menu.
Streaming starts according to the setting you
made.
You can assign the "Streaming" to an
assignable button. For details about
assigning, refer to "Assignable buttons" in
the Operating Guide.
Notes
• You cannot start streaming when "Setting" in
"Network" of the System menu is set to "Off."
• It may take several tens of seconds to stream
actual video or audio after starting streaming.
• You cannot start streaming when playing back an
SD clip.
• If you set the transmission destination of the
streaming incorrectly or the camcorder does not
connect to the network, "×" appears on the screen
as the streaming status indication.
Stop streaming

Set "Setting" to "Off" in "Streaming"
of the System menu.
Streaming also stops by pressing the
assignable button to which "Streaming" is
assigned.
When the camcorder is connected to a device via
Wireless LAN (page 4) or is connecting to the
Internet with the wireless LAN station mode
(page 8), you can also set the transmission

destination and starting/stopping streaming from
the Web menu (page 13).
Using the Wi-Fi Remote
Commander (PXW-X180
only)
When a wireless LAN connection is established
between a device, such as smartphone, tablet, and
the camcorder, the Wi-Fi remote commander
appears on the device screen and the device can
be used as a remote commander.
You can start/stop recording and adjust the
recording settings with a Wi-Fi connected device.
This function is useful for setting the camcorder
in a remote place, such as the top of a crane, etc.
Displaying the Wi-Fi remote
commander
The display size of the Wi-Fi remote commander
changes according to the device screen size
automatically. For details about the Wi-Fi-
Remote commander display, refer to the
Operating Guide.

Make a wireless LAN connection
between the device and camcorder
(page 5).

Launch the browser and input http://
<camcorder's IP address> ("System
menu" > "Network" > "IP Address")/
rm.html in the address bar.
Example: When the IP address is
192.168.1.1, input http://192.168.1.1/
rm.html in the address bar.

Input the user name and password
("System menu" > "Basic
Authentication" > "User Name" or
"Password") on the browser.
When completing the connection, the display
of the Wi-Fi remote commander appears on
the device.
Operate the Wi-Fi remote commander by
following the display.
