For the SSID and password of the camcorder,
check "SSID & Password" in "Network" of
the System menu (page 19).

The screen for inputting "User Name" and
"Password" appears.

Input the user name and password, then
select "OK."

authentication, check "Basic Authentication"

Connecting with the wireless LAN
station mode
The camcorder connects to an existing access
point of the wireless LAN as a client. The
camcorder and device connect via the access
point.

Connecting to the access point with the
WPS function
If the access point is compatible with the WPS
function, you can connect to the access point with
simple settings. If the access point is not
compatible with the WPS function, see "To
connect to the access point in the station mode
without the WPS function" (page 16).

Turn the access point on.

Turn the camcorder on.

Set the camcorder's network operation
mode to the Wi-Fi station mode by
setting "Setting" in "Network" of the
System menu to "Wi-Fi Station."
Notes
• It may take a time (for 30 to 60 seconds) until the
camcorder is in the Wi-Fi station mode. Wait
until the flashing signal status indication for the
network wireless LAN connection status on the
LCD/viewfinder screen (page 2) is turned on.

Activate "WPS" in "Network" of the
System menu.

Press the WPS button of the access
point.
For the operation of the WPS button, refer to
the operating instructions of the access point.
When the connection is completed, the signal
status indication for the wireless LAN
connection status (page 2) lights at a strength
of more than 1.
Notes
• If the connection fails, perform steps from step 1
again.

Connect the device to the access point.
For connecting, refer to the operating
instructions of the device.

Start the browser on the device, then
access to "http://<IP address that the
access point assigns to the
camcorder>:8080/index.html."
For the camcorder's IP address, check "IP
Address" in "Network" of the System menu.
The screen for inputting "User Name" and
"Password" appears.
