8. Pilot lamp and signal
This light comes on when the key (6) is in the «ON» position and remains con-
stantly lit while the machine is operating.
When it starts flashing this means that the engine is being prevented from starting
(see 5.3).
The audible warning indicates that the grass-catcher is full (see 5.3).
9. Blade engagement and brake lever
This lever has two positions, as shown on the label:
Position «A»
Position «B»
If the blades are engaged when safety conditions have not been complied with,
the engine shuts down (see 5.3).
On disengaging the blades (Pos. «A»), a double brake is simultaneously activa-
ted which stops their rotation in a few seconds.
10. Cutting height adjusting lever
There are seven positions for this lever, shown as «1» to «7» on the label, which
correspond to various heights of between 3 and 8 cm.
To go from one height to another, press the release button at the end of the lever.
11. Grass-catcher release button
This button, when pressed and brought back to the position «A», releases the
lower hooking device for the grass-catcher so that it can be emptied. In order to
re-hook it, press the button again, returning it to the normal operating position
«B».
12. Grass-catcher emptying button
This lever, which is pulled out of its housing, is for emptying the grass-catcher
while the operator remains seated, thus reducing the amount of effort required.
13. Disengage lever for the hydrostatic drive
There are two positions for this lever as shown on the label:
Position «A»
Position «B»
= BLADES DISENGAGED
= BLADES ENGAGED
= Drive engaged: for all use conditions, when moving and
during cutting;
= Drive disengaged: considerably reduces the effort
required for moving the lawn-tractor manually, when
the motor is not running.
