The contents of these instructions must be read and understood before the product is
taken into use. Keep the instructions easily accessible for further reference.
If Carolift is altered, rebuilt or used for other purposes than intended, Autoadapt AB
denies any liability.
Installation and repair of Carolift must, for safety reasons and for warranty conditions,
be made by Autoadapt AB or by a workshop authorized by Autoadapt AB.

1. PRESENTATION

Carolift 90 and Carolift 140 are wheelchair hoists for
loading a wheelchair or a scooter into the luggage
compartment of a vehicle.
The Carolift hoists are mounted in the vehicle floor,
on the left or on the right side.
Carolift 140 has a lift capacity for lifting wheelchairs
or scooters weighing up to 140 kg. Carolift 90 has a
lift capacity of 90 kg.
The hoists are powered and operated from a hand
control pendant for lifting and lowering and also for
swivelling in or out of the vehicle.

2. GENERAL SAFETY RULES

Make sure people, animals or objects are kept away from the loading area when
operating the hoist.
Make sure the wheelchair stands steady on the vehicle floor, well secured in a
transportation anchorage, when loaded in the vehicle.
When not in use, the hoist should be folded towards the vehicle floor, to aviod
injury or damage by sudden braking of the vehicle.
Make sure the hoist cord is vertical above the wheelchair balance point, before
lifting it from the ground, to avoid that the wheelchair starts swinging.
Keep the hand control pendant in it's holder on the hoist, when not in use, to
aviod the hoist getting accidently activated by other luggage.
Do not lift the lifting device of the cord beyond the yellow distance indicator.
