Inserting the MEM-Card
• First use your fingers to press the small MEM-Card out of the larger
frame (next illustration on the left).
• With the short edge at an angle under the holding crescents a, push the
MEM-Card into the MEM-Card compartment (next illustration on the right)
(1). The golden contact surface of the MEM-Card must face downwards!
• Press the MEM-Card downwards until the small tag b locks
Inserting the rechargeable battery pack
Caution: Observe the safety instructions for changing the battery of an
explosion-proof handset on page 79/80!
• Push the battery pack into the casing (1).
• FC1: Push the battery down on the lever side until you hear it lock (2).
• FC1 Ex: Push the battery down on the screw side until it makes contact
with the housing (2).
• FC1 Ex: Fix battery with the securing screw (2). Use a screw driver Torx
T 10. The maximum fastening torque of the screw is 60 Ncm.
Placement of the charger (only outside of hazardous areas)
For charging explosion-proof units and explosion-proof batteries, use the
charger with the designation Tischladegerät FC1 S Ex and the
appropriate plug-in power supply only! Place the charger on a solid, even
