Operation

It is always easier to start a hole with centering bit. The electronic switch allows to drill at slow speeds
in order to safely introduce the bit in the material (5-10 mm). Once engaged in the material the
centering device (bit) can be removed from the machine and drilling at full speed can start then.
Overload Protection
In order to protect the operator and the machine, the unit is equipped with overload protection.
Mechanical:
CAUTION!
Thermal:
Important notice: The stop of the machine caused by overload protection is no failure. After an
adequate time it is possible to restart working!
Dust Exhaust
Dust which occurs during working is hazardous to health. Therefore always use a suitable dust
exhaust and wear a dust mask during dry drilling. The use of a dust exhaust is also the precondition
for an optimal cutting performance of the drill bit (air cooling).
For choosing the right drill bits for different materials please always observe the specifications of the
drill bit manufacturer.
Care and Maintenance
Before all works at the machine, make sure that the plug is off the mains socket.
Due to its design, the machine needs a minimum of care and maintenance.
Nevertheless you should always observe the following:
- Keep the electric tool clean.
- Avoid any particle or part to penetrate inside the tool.
- If the machine is defect let carry out a repair only through an authorized service workshop.
Information on noise and vibration
Measured values determined according to EN 60745
The A-weighted noise level of the tool is typically:
Sound pressure level (L
Sound power level (L
Uncertainty K=3 dB.
Wear ear protection!
Hand-arm vibration:
Hand-arm vibration is typically lower than 2.5 m/s².
Measured values determined according to EN 60745
The vibration emission level indicated in these instructions has been measured in accordance with a
standardised test method given in EN 60745 and can be used to compare one tool with another. It is
If the drill bit is suddenly blocked in the hole, a clutch will slip, disengaging the
bit from the motor.
In case of sudden blocking there may occur a strong turning back torque.
Therefore, for handheld use, the machine must be held with both hands and it
must be worked with full concentration. Ensure a safe stand.
When continuance overload is applied a thermal protection will protect the
motor from destruction. When the thermal overload protection has worked, it is
not possible to start the machine immediately after. It is only after some cooling
time that the machine can be restarted. The time needed to be able to restart
the machine will be vary to the overheating of the coil and the ambient
temperature.
