ASSEMBLY
Central Ventilation Box ZEB EC

2.1 Power control

The fan can be operated in 3 speeds via the external 3-stage switch (DS Z/acces-
sories). These can be selected from 9 options via an internal DIP switch.
Fully isolate the unit from the power supply for this purpose. Open cover as
shown in Fig. 1 and select the stages. These are set via S1 ... S4 according to
SS-1115. The assembly takes place in the reverse order.
3.0 Assembly instructions
If possible, the unit should be assembled away from the rooms to be ventilated
to prevent noise pollution. In critical cases, suitable sound attenuators (see Helios
accessories) can be used. In order to prevent structure-borne sound transmission,
the unit must be assembled on a sound-insulating substrate if applicable. Intake/
discharge lines are simply connected to the fittings and fastened using hose
clamps or adhesive tape.
The unit is controlled directly via the 3-stage switch DSZ or timer WSUP (acces-
sories).
The system must be assembled with as little air resistance as possible and it
must be air-tight. Minimise the use of flexible lines. Seal the unused openings on
the intake side. Close the press opening in any case. Mount the ZEB EC to a wall
or ceiling with sufficient mass.

3.1 Mechanical connections

The ZEB EC has four intake-side and one discharge-side connection spigots on
the sides. Three of the intake spigots are sealed in the standard version.

3.2 System setting

During the initial commissioning, the following points must be observed:
1. Close doors and windows
2. Measure required flow rate (see corresponding standards)
3. Set the required flow rates in stage 1, 2 and 3 of the operating switch (acces-
sories) with DIP switch on the control board (see wiring diagram SS-1115,
page 5).
4. Adjust the flow rate per room via valves/extract air elements (accessories)
5. Enter DIP switch settings in the wiring diagram table (page 5).
