Troubleshooting

A
No door call
Contact S1 and S2 fails to close
• No call voltage available at
terminal 1 and 7 PVG (appr. 23.5).
For troubleshooting, see circuit
manual "Door and In-house
Communication" .
Voltage OK:
Defective relay, replace PVG.
Contact S1 and S2 closes
• No supply voltage b/c at the PVG,
fuse in the NG defective or con-
ductor interrupted.
• Connected bell defective, replace.
B
No speech communication
• Connect the HTS 711-01 to PVG
terminal 1 and 7; If speech
communication is OK, there is an
error downstream from the PVG.
Check connections La/Lb from
PVG to telecommunication
system.
Connections OK:
• Measure whether direct voltage
exists between La and Lb;
Yes: In each of the cores La and Lb,
connect a bipolar capacitor with
1 µF, 30 V in series.
No: Check the programming of the
telecommunication system; if
necessary define the slot of the
telecommunication system as a door
hands-free device. See instructions
from the PBX- system manufacturer.
Check actuation contact Ts/Ts'
and connection from the PVG to
the telecommunication system,
Check the connection from the
PVG to the telecommunication
system
Ts/Ts' connections between PVG and
telecommunication system OK.
Check Ts/Ts' actuation contact
• Insert a trial jumper between
terminal Ts and Ts' on the PVG
following a door call; Test the
speech connection.
Function OK
• The Ts/Ts' contact in the telecom-
munication system does not close
or
is permanently closed. In order to
guarantee correct func-tion, the
Ts/Ts' contact must be open in the
idle position following termination
of speech communication.
C
Speech communication is
scrambled or distorted when
speaking normally into the
microphone
• Input level of the telecommunica-
tion system is too high. Reduce the
level using a 10 KΩ potentiometer at
the terminals a and b of the tele-
communication system.
Scrambled speech communica-
tion with TLM 512-0
• Extremely high ambient noise at
the door station.
Replace resistor R9 on the circuit
board with 1 KΩ. *)
Scrambled speech
communication with TLM 612-0
• Extremely high ambient noise at
the door station.
Solder resistor 100 Ω in parallel to
R9 on the circuit board. *)
Speech communication too loud,
distorted.
• Set the speech in both directions
using potentiometers P1 and P2 in
the PVG.
First using potentiometer P2 set the
volume in the direction of the door,
then use potentiometer P1 for the
volume in the direction of the
telecommunication system.
Speech communication too quiet
• Input level of the LF signal too low
Check the LF signal at terminals a
and b.
The LF signal must be appr. 280 m
with existing speech communication,
with constant whistling tone.
For setting information, consult the
documentation of the telecommuni-
cation system manufacturer.
D
Feedback during speech com-
munication with TLM 512/612-...
Volume too high
• Turn down the potentiometers P1
and P2 in the PVG 602-... to reduce
the LF signal. (Status on delivery is
set at max. level)
Feedback in speech communi-
cation with TLE 061-0
Mounting the TLE 061-0
When using a TLE 061-0, always
ensure that this is flush mounted in
an existing communication compart-
ment with the front panel. If
necessary, use mounting adapter
accessory ZTL 051-0.
