Assembly
Unscrew the water heater from the wooden pallet.
The water heater can be raised by varying the length of
the adjustable feet.

Pipe installation

The water heater is only designed for upright installation.
The valve connector must not be used for external install-
ation, relocation or separation.
The water heater is equipped with compression ring
couplings for copper or plastic pipes. Internal support
bushes should be fitted when a plastic pipe or annealed
copper pipe is used.
The mixer valve (25) is set for the desired hot water tem-
perature. Turn the mixer valve's knob anticlockwise to in-
crease hot water temperature. Setting range 40 – 65 °C.
An overflow pipe must be routed from the safety valve to
a suitable drain. The overflow pipe must be the same size
as the safety valve (Ø 15 mm). The overflow pipe must be
routed downwards to prevent water pockets and to be
frost proof. The outlet of the overflow pipe must be visible.
Filling
The water heater must be filled with water before the
mains supply is switched on. Filling takes place as follows:
1. Check that the safety/drainage valve (23) is closed.
2. Open the shut-off valve (22).
3. In order for the water heater to be filled with water,
the air in the water heater must be released, which is
done by opening the hot water tap.
The water heater is now filled and the power can be
switched on.

Electrical installation

NOTE
Electrical installation and service must be carried out
under the supervision of a qualified electrician. Elec-
trical installation and wiring must be carried out in
accordance with the stipulations in force.
The water heater is installed via a circuit breaker (2).
During 1 phase installation the water heater produces
1 kW and during 2 phase installation 3 kW.

Thermostat
Upon delivery the water heater's thermostat is set for a
hot water temperature of approx. 60°C, if another temper-
ature is required, set it using the thermostat knob (7).
Compact Sol has a thermostat that is adjustable between
60°C and 80°C.
