7 Input mode

7.1 Reset function (referencing)

Precondition: Parameter 'Reset enable' (RESET:) in programming mode
NOTICE
must be programmed to "on", "del.1s" or "del.3s" but unit must not be
left in programming mode (see chapter
For angle measurement 0°-90°-0°, referencing must not be performed
NOTICE
unlesss the position value is in the 0 quadrant (the angle symbol on dis-
play position 2 must not flash).
• In entry mode (incremental measurement is not activated) press key

If the encoder value is lower than 90, 90.0, 90.00, 90.000, it will be dis-
played immediately. If, however, it exceeds the above limits, it will be cal-
culated according to the drawing.
A flashing angle symbol (display position 2) indicates that one is in quad-
rant 1.
If referencing "on the other side" is required, then this can be performed
by inverting the counting direction.
Reset function (referencing) via reference input
By short activation (ground switching) of the input RESET e. g. by a push
button or by using a proximity switch (type of reference switch must be
programmed in the menu point "TRS:").
