Monitoring by RMS compact (option)

The cabinet monitoring system RMS (Rack Monitoring System) enables:
- trouble free operation
- early detection of faults
- logging of events
- activation of warning signals
- central monitoring of conditions
The RMS is an Ethernet compatible device and uses networking protocols like SNMP, TCP/IP,
Web und Telnet. The RMS permits to control and monitoring of the not networked components by
the system manager.
The RMS-compact has eight ports for monitoring up to eight digital contacts and has two analogue
ports for measurement of temperature and humidity.
The device also offers three relays outputs (digital). Information about the status of the monitored
units is compiled to SNMP and sent via the integrated Ethernet interface to the connected network
management station.
The following sensors are installed:
- smoke detector
- water sensor
- door contact switch
- combined temperature/humidity sensor
The following sensors are optional available:
- humidity sensor
- vibration sensor
- additional Temperature sensor
The following reactions can be selected by hardware links, independent of network management
station reports:
- shut down fans in case of smoke
- acoustic or optical report in case of smoke
- report of condensation removal
- report of unauthorised door opening
- shut down fans in case of vibrations (earthquake e.g.)
