1 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der EU-Richtlinie Nr.
89/336/EWG für elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit.
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie-
mals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsach-
gemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem erlischt beim
Öffnen des Gerätes jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:
•
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Räumen ge-
eignet.
•
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze.
•
Die in dem Gerät entstehende Wärme muß durch
Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Darum dürfen
die Lüftungsschlitze des Gehäuses nicht mit ir-
gendwelchen Gegenständen abgedeckt werden.
Über, neben und hinter dem Gerät müssen minde-
stens 10 cm Platz bleiben.
•
Nichts durch die Lüftungsschlitze stecken oder fal-
len lassen! Dabei kann zu einem elektrischen
Schlag kommen.
•
Auch wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist (in Stand-
by), hat es einen geringen Stromverbrauch.
•
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen und sofort den
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlußleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine
Fachwerkstatt geben.

This appliance corresponds to the EC Directive No.
89/336/EWG for electromagnetic compatibility.
The unit uses lethally high voltage (230 V~). To pre-
vent a shock hazard do not open it. Leave servicing
to authorized skilled personnel only. Any guarantee
claim expires if the unit has been opened.
For the operation also watch in any case the follow-
ing items:
•
The unit is only suitable for indoor use.
•
Avoid excessively warm locations for the unit or
high humidity.
•
The heat coming into being within the unit must be
cooled by air ventilation. Therefore the ventilation
slots of the housing must not be covered with any
kind of objects. Above, beside, and behind the unit
there must a be space of at least 10 cm.
•
Be careful that nothing falls through the ventilation
slots and do not put anything into them. This may
lead to an electric stroke.
•
Even if the unit is switched off (in stand-by mode),
there is a low power consumption.
•
Do not set the unit into operation and immediately
take the mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. there is a damage at the unit or mains cable.
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident.
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by author-
ized skilled personnel.
•
A damaged mains cable must only be replaced by
the manufacturer or authorized skilled personnel.
•
Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
by means of the mains cable.

2 Übersicht der Bedienelemente und
Anschlüsse
2.1 Frontseite
1 Taste MEMORY zum Speichern von Sendern
2 Taste DIRECT zur Frequenzdirekteingabe von
Sendern. Nach dem Drücken dieser Taste kann
mit den Nummerntasten (3) die Frequenz eines
Senders eingetippt werden.
3 Zifferntasten zum Anwählen der 30 Senderspei-
cher und zum Eingeben der Senderfrequenz bei
der Frequenzdirekteingabe.
Zum Wählen der Senderspeicher über 9 muß zu-
erst die Taste 0/+10 ein- oder mehrmals gedrückt
werden.
4 LED für Bereitschaft (Stand-by)
5 Multifunktionsdisplay
6 Tasten für den Wiedergabe-Modus:
BYPASS für normale Mono- oder Stereowieder-
gabe über zwei Lautsprecher
PRO-LOGIC für Wiedergabe von Dolby Pro-
Logic bei entsprechender Signalquelle
3 STEREO für verbesserte Stereo-Wiedergabe
über 3 Lautsprecher
CENTER MODE, für die Betriebsarten PRO-
LOGIC und 3 STEREO muß der Typ des Center-
Lautsprechers ausgewählt werden. Die Einstel-
lung wird rechts im Display unter der Zeile
angezeigt:

2 Operating Elements and Connections
2.1 Front panel
1 Button MEMORY for storing stations
2 Button DIRECT for direct frequency input of sta-
tions. After pressing this button the frequency of a
station can be entered by typing the numerical
keys (3).
3 Numerical keys to select the 30 station presets
and to enter the frequency of the station with the
direct frequency input.
To select the preset numbers above 9, at first the
key 0/+10 must be pressed once or several
times.
4 LED for Stand By
5 Multifunction display
6 Buttons for the reproduction mode:
BYPASS for normal mono or stereo reproduction
via two speakers
PRO-LOGIC for reproduction of Dolby Pro-Logic
with corresponding signal source
3 STEREO for improved stereo reproduction
via 3 speakers
CENTER MODE, for the operating modes PRO-
LOGIC and 3 STEREO the type of the center
speaker must be chosen. The adjustment is dis-
played at the right below the line
NORMAL
= Compact center speaker system
WIDE
= Full range HiFi speaker system
PHANTOM = No center speaker (can only be
selected in the Pro-Logic mode)
